Sunnyside Artists Fair at Queen of Angels – October 19th

Support your local artists at the 2nd annual Sunnyside Artists Fair.  Discover how much talent lives in the neighborhood! Admission is free and affordable food to be provided by some of the finest Sunnyside restaurants; Dazies, Quaint and Bliss Bistro.  Also a free glass of wine with purchase from Lowery Liquors. Sponsors for this special event include; Father Daly, Pastor, Sunnyside Lions Club, WOODSIDE HERALD, Lily Gavin, Kiwanis Club of Sunnyside, Rigoberto Cardoso. 10% artist proceeds go to food pantries.

Sunnyside Shorts Film Festival – Saturday, Sept 6th

The founders, Teresa Ward and Sherry Gamlin are two long-time Sunnysiders, who are continuing the summertime fun in 2008 with  brand new and independent films from Sunnysiders and filmmakers from all over the world. Sponsored by Murphy’s Bar! (49th St & Skillman Ave in Sunnyside).

On Saturday, Sept 6th
Location: The Sunnyside Gardens Park, 39th Ave and 49th St.
Time: Sunset (around 8pm).
Come at 7pm and listen to traditional Irish music provided by Donie Carroll, Dan Neely and members of The Washington Square Harp and Shamrock Orchestra.

If it rains (Hurricane Hannah is on its way!), the festival will be held at our indoor location:
The Sunnyside Senior Center
41-31 39th St. between Queens Blvd & 43rd Ave.
